Accommodation
You will be staying at one-bedroom flat in South East London.
· Check-in: Sunday “Day 1” of stay after 14:00 (2pm)
· Check-out: Saturday “Day 14” of stay before 14:00 (2pm)
An assistant of Spandoc will welcome you at the airport and will be contactable throughout your stay for any help you might need.
You will find:
o essential toiletries and breakfast items
o information about where to shop nearby
o a mobile phone with a British SIM card
o free WiFi internet connection
o oyster card that covers all public transport in London during the two week stay
o contact numbers to call in case you have any questions
Transport
You should arrange a flight to a London airport, preferably Gatwick or Stansted, to arrive on the first day or your stay, "Day 1".
A cab arranged by Spandoc will collect you from the airport on arrival, take you to your assigned flat, and then collect you at the flat to take you back to the airport on your las day of your stay, "Day 14".
During your stay, a cab arranged by Spandoc will take you daily to Rushey Green Time Bank and back home.
Before you buy your plane ticket
Please note the trip from the airport to the flat lasts around 1 hour from Gatwick, 1:15 hours from Stansted and 1:40 hours from Heathrow or Luton.
Flight Arrival (Day 1)
We will collect you from the airport and take you to your accommodation site at Spandoc Flat on Sunday Day 1 of your stay. This airport collection service operates from 12:30 to 20:00 only. It does not operate before you start your stay, i.e. before Sunday Day 1.
It is recommended that your flight's scheduled landing time is no earlier than 12:00 noon, and it is compulsory that it is no later than 8:00 pm (20:00 h).
Early Arrival
If your flight lands earlier than 12:00, you may need to wait at the airport until you are collected at 12:30 pm.
Late Arrival
If your flight is scheduled to land before 8:00 pm (20:00) but if it is delayed beyond this time, we will sait for you and collect you when necessary.
If your flight is scheduled to land after 8:00 pm (20:00), you will not be collected. You will need to find alternative accommodation for the first night and you will be collected from the airport on the following day at 12:30 pm. You will miss your first day of stay at Rushey Green Time Bank, which will not be recovered.
Buying Advice
If there are no suitable flights from your city on Sunday Day 1, you may wish to fly on the previous Saturday and stay, at your own expense, at a hotel within the airport area, such as Gatwick Hilton or Radisson Stansted. You would then be collected from the hotel on Sunday Day 1 at 12:30 pm.
Flight Departure (Day 14)
We will take you to the airport on Saturday Day 14. For this, we will collect your from Spandoc Flat no later than 2:00 pm.
It's essential that you send us full datails of your flights back and forth at least two weeks before your stay.
