1. Candidates who intend to apply for funding from third parties should contact their funding institution first and follow their application procedure. Spandoc may issue a pre-acceptance letter on request if appropriate.
2. Candidates should address their application to Spandoc (spandoc@spandoc.com) and send:

Contact details of two referees
On selection of candidates, three main aspects will be considered for a score to be given with a maximum of 10 points :

English level: up to 4 points

Learning motivation and proved learning capacity: up to 3 points
-
Potential to influence their environment: up to 3 points
No particular qualification or experience is required, however preference will be given to:

social care professionals
Four placements will be offered in 2012 at the dates shown in the Calendar. Selection of candidates will be made at various times between February 6th and September 30th, according to availability.
3. Spandoc will inform the candidate about the result of their application within 2-4 weeks of the Selection Day. This result may be one of the following three:

Selected Candidate: the applicant has obtained the highest score for the stay considered and a place is offered;

Deferred Application: the applicant is eligible but, either they do not obtain the highest score or a stay is not available at the dates requested; the applicant is placed on a waiting lis for a possible offer of a later stay;

Refused Application: the applicant is not eligible to participate in the programme at this time.
The selected candidates will be notified that the placement will be reserved for them for a maximum of 4 weeks from notification.
4. The applicant or their funding institution should make payment of the fee within 4 weeks of notification of selection.
5. If after these 4 weeks Spandoc has not received payment of the fee, the reservation will be cancelled and the placement may be offered to another candidate.
