Spandoc Time Bank 2012
Aims and objetives

This observership is for health and social care professionals seeking to gain special knowledge and experience of Time Banking, in particular in a health setting. Over a period of two weeks the observer will acquire a significant understanding of the benefits of time banking, by being immersed in the day to day activities of the multi-award winning Rushey Green Time bank and its members.

Rushey Green Time Bank was the first time bank set up in a health centre, over 11 years ago, at the Rushey Green Group Practice in South London. Over this period of time, the time bank has accrued a high level of experience and knowledge of working with and motivating - often isolated - health patients, to ‘coproduce’ their wellbeing.

The observership will equip and envision the health and social care professional who is looking for something ‘extra’ and effective to empower clients to be pro-active to reduce the isolation and dependencies that can prevent them from experiencing a sense of being in control, of wellbeing and belonging.
