WE WELCOME EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IN BECOMING A HOST OR A VISITOR  FROM DOCTORS OF ANY LOCATION OR LANGUAGE.

At present we particularly need Spanish doctors working in/near South East London (preferably less than 1 hour distance  by car or public transport from SE6 1NB or 45 minutes distance from any of the following Stations: Hither Green, Grove Park, Catford, Catford Bridge, Lewisham, Lee, Blackheath), preferably with knowledge of the Spanish Health System, to expand the team of hosts & tutors of the scheme. If you would be happy to receive colleagues from Spain at your workplace for some days please contact us. Hosts may be GPs or hospital specialists who would like to receive doctors of their same speciality.

We are also looking to start the reverse scheme in Spain and need practices (centros de salud) and hospitals in Madrid willing to receive UK-based doctors. Hosts should have a good command of English and, preferably, some knowledge of the NHS. Visitors from the UK may be British or of any other origin, including Spanish doctors who migrated to the UK and would like to update their knowledge of the Spanish health system and working practice.

Hosts of one direction of the scheme will be given preference as visiting candidates for the reverse direction of the scheme if interested (e.g. UK-based doctors wishing to visit Spain or Spain-based doctors wishing to visit the UK).

 
Although learning from each visit is expected to be mutual, we regard hosting as a teaching activity and remunerate it accordingly. Tuition fees are paid to centres and/or individual tutors/hosts.
